Association of Central Oklahoma Governments "Watch For Me OK"
Challenge
Central Oklahoma has experienced an increased number of pedestrian and bicyclist crashes, injuries and fatalities.
Goal
Educate drivers, pedestrians and bicyclists in Central Oklahoma about how to share the road and the importance of keeping each other safe.
Our Work
Anglin has worked with ACOG since 2020 and implemented marketing and awareness tactics including a refreshed logo and brand, a new website, custom videos and photography of community members, influencers marketing, organic and paid social media, media relations, partner outreach to municipalities, surveys and more.
Results
Watch for Me OK has gained awareness among residents in Central Oklahoma, including through a strategic digital marketing strategy that includes paid content on YouTube and boosted posts on Facebook and Instagram. We have created a robust library of social graphics, partner assets and videos for Watch for Me OK featuring tips, best practices, testimonials and stories from Oklahomans.
The Alliance for Economic Development
Challenge
In a competitive region, Oklahoma City seeks to attract and retain companies, jobs, developers and investors to create a diverse and vibrant economy.
Goal
Reach developers, investors, companies and site selectors with information about incentives that Oklahoma City offers. Help increase public understanding and support for using public resources to offer economic development incentives to private businesses.
Our Work
Anglin has worked with The Alliance for more than 10 years to make important announcements, build support for public votes and increase understanding of economic development tools such as TIF, NMTC, LIHTC, HTC and GO Bonds.
Results
We’ve grown the audience for The Alliance through news stories, opinion pieces, newsletters, social media, website updates, advertising and community relations. The Alliance’s transparency and communications has helped position Oklahoma City as a place that is friendly to developers, businesses and investors.
City of Muskogee
Challenge
Transition the City of Muskogee from an outdated city seal to a modern, dynamic logo representing current residents.
Goal
Create a brand that speaks to the area’s rich native history and the importance of the Three Rivers' economic impact.
Our Work
Anglin designed a logo, brand guidelines and key messages to foster unity and a sense of pride within the community. To encourage brand awareness, we also developed a brand rollout plan. We made recommendations for how the City could best reveal the new logo to community members and partners. Tactics included event planning, signage design, social content, city official training and more.
Results
The new brand led to consistency across internal and external communication tools and elevated the city’s image to a level on par with regional businesses. The reveal of the logo resulted in higher traffic and engagement on the city’s social media channels.
Oklahoma City Housing Authority
Challenge
Public misperceptions about OCHA’s operations, resident programs and impact on the community.
Goal
Educate the public and decision-makers about OCHA’s community impact as a provider of affordable housing by increasing transparency and sharing the impact of the organizations on residents.
Our Work
Anglin created a marketing plan, key messaging, social media, media relations, community relations with partner organizations and thought leadership tactics to make a positive impact, changing public and key audience perceptions. Essential media coverage included an op-ed in The Oklahoman, KOCO News 5’s coverage of an initiative that distributed 10,000 books to children living in public housing, and Steve Lackmeyer’s Friday chat.
Results
OCHA has increased transparency and communication with residents, has built stronger relationships with media outlets and has improved regular communication with staff members.
River North Transit LLC
Challenge
A NYC-based transit tech company partnered with Norman, OK and needed local marketing and PR experts for their new program launch.
Goal
Spread awareness with Norman community members, including residents and students, for the launch of a new ride-share program called “Norman On-Demand.”
Our Work
Anglin generated earned media using news releases and opinion pieces. We conducted community outreach to businesses and residents with in-person street marketing. We also coordinated video content and social posts from local businesses and trusted social media influencers who helped spread the word.
Results
Anglin’s efforts generated broad media coverage of Norman on Demand’s launch in both print, online and broadcast media. The program launch was featured as a news story in nine different outlets including Norman Transcript, KOCO, KFOR, KWTV, OU Daily and The Oklahoman.
Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education
Challenge
Oklahoma needed to spread the word about a new scholarship for would-be teachers, “Inspired to Teach”, designed to drive more students to become teachers.
Goal
Increase awareness of “Inspired to Teach” and drive enrollment for the program to help solve Oklahoma’s teacher shortage, fostering a pipeline of certified teachers qualified to enter the state’s workforce.
Our Work
Anglin launched a multi-faceted marketing campaign to increase brand awareness about the scholarship program. First, we designed a brand identity that would resonate with college students and we drafted key messaging to emphasize the assets of the program. Tactics utilized throughout this campaign included a website landing page; Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube digital ads, a targeted email marketing campaign, billboard /outdoor advertising, streaming TV ads, and streaming audio ads like Spotify.
Results
“Inspired to Teach” campaign drove 75,000 web page views, with digital ads garnering 5.65M link clicks and 32.7M impressions during a 3-month campaign. Our email marketing efforts saw a 62.23% open rate with an email list of over 80,000 Oklahoma students.
Oklahoma AmeriCorps
Challenge
Lack of awareness among young adults of the option to join Oklahoma AmeriCorps after high school and during college.
Goal
Create a marketing strategy to increase brand awareness of Oklahoma AmeriCorps through a multi-channel marketing campaign that includes digital and traditional media.
Our Work
Anglin helps promote awareness for Oklahoma AmeriCorps through a digital marketing roadmap, a redesigned website, creating and distributing public service announcements, launching the brand’s social media channels including Instragram, LinkedIn, and TikTok. We write regular social media content, write news releases and thought leadership pieces and manage paid digital campaigns for the organization.
Results
Oklahoma AmeriCorps has a robust digital presence where they post regularly, are growing their following and can connect with and recruit potential members as well as organizations seeking to become an AmeriCorps program. Our initial PSA campaign earned the nonprofit a 9:1 advertising return.
Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services
Challenge
Lack of awareness of ODMHSAS’ workplace mental health training from business executives and HR leaders who could improve their workplace culture, including hiring and retention.
Goal
Spread awareness about ODMHSAS’ free, online suicide prevention training for workplace leaders, “Are You OK?”, conducting outreach and engaging business leaders to strengthen Oklahoma’s workforce.
Our Work
Anglin crafted key messages and distributable assets with approachable language to spread the word about how the online training would benefit businesses and help leaders create a “culture of care.” We worked with a national expert on suicide prevention, to gain better insight into engaging audiences. Our execution strategies include business outreach, advocate videos, a tiered participation system with a training completion badge, digital ads, earned media, op-eds and scheduling speaking events.
Results
ODMHSAS saw over 1,000 trainings completed and gained 30 business, city government and state agency partners, including OU Wellness, SSM Health, Devon Energy, OnCue, the State Department of Education, Norman Chamber of Commerce and Edmond Chamber of Commerce. Our digital LinkedIn ads garnered over 2,000,000 impressions, and we earned over $32,000 in media value, including coverage by KCCU, The Oklahoman, Tulsa World, Norman Transcript and Journal Record.
National Association of Parliamentarians
Challenge
An outdated website that did not serve the organization’s various audiences and needs
Goal
Create a new WordPress website for NAP that streamlined the information on their previous website to be helpful and easy to navigate for their many user audiences.
Our Work
Anglin conducted research to review historical data and content and create a roadmap for maintaining SEO authority with a redesigned website. We worked with NAP to develop a consistent tone and voice for website and future social media content. We created a new structure for the website, worked with them to determine what content needed to be changed/updated and developed a template-based site on WordPress that featured functional tools to complement their work. We implemented a custom color palette and fresh design elements to coordinate with the organization’s existing logo and give their branding a facelift.
Results
NAP now has a modern, functional, attractive and accessible website that serves the needs of parliamentarians of all ages as well as those interested in learning more about parliamentary procedure and gaining credentialing and education.
